The best conversations don't happen because someone has all the answers.

They happen because someone asks a better question.

Every week I share stories from the road...

photographs...

travel philosophy...

and conversations that help us slow down and notice what really matters.

Photograph What it Feels Like - In Practice

Coming this fall

Photograph What It Feels Like is not a book about camera settings or perfect technique. It’s about slowing down, paying attention, and experiencing a place before you photograph it. Through stories, simple practices, and a different way of seeing, you’ll learn to create travel photographs that capture more than what a place looked like—they’ll help you remember what it felt like to be there.

Great travel and everyday photography isn't just about capturing what a place looks like. It's about noticing the details, moments, light and atmosphere that tell you what it feels like to be there.

In this hands-on workshop, we'll slow down, look beyond the obvious, and explore how curiosity, perspective and intention can create photographs with more meaning and a stronger sense of place.

Bring your camera or your phone—both are welcome.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to create more thoughtful, interesting photographs. You don't need an expensive camera or advanced photography skills. We'll focus less on technical settings and more on how you see, what you notice, and the choices you make before you press the shutter.

And when you do have a technical question, I'm happy to help with that too.

What are you missing because you're moving too fast to notice?

We move quickly through our days. From one meeting to the next. One task to another. One destination to the next. And somewhere along the way, it's easy to stop noticing what's right in front of us.

The employee who has stopped speaking up.

The customer who's telling you what they need—if you're paying attention.

The opportunity everyone else has overlooked.

The people and moments in your life that have become so familiar you barely notice them anymore.

In Photograph What It Feels Like, I use photography, travel, storytelling, and everyday experiences to explore what can happen when we slow down, become curious, and learn to really pay attention.

This isn't a talk about cameras. It's about how we see.

Depending on the audience, the conversation can explore what we're noticing—or failing to notice—in our businesses, our relationships, our communities, when traveling and our everyday lives.

Because whether you're building a business, leading people, traveling somewhere new, or simply moving through an ordinary Tuesday, there's value in slowing down long enough to experience where you are instead of simply passing through it.

Sometimes the most important thing we can change is where we place our attention.
